On a more sophisticated level, if you really need some form-fillable, macro-callable stats, you can make those without a subscription, on the Attributes & Abilities tab. This is actually what I do for my game, even though I've got Pro, I'm happy with 90% of the built-in AD&D character sheet, and I just make a blank for the other details on the Bio tab, and my players fill that in. Wiki docs for this, Note, also, if there is a game with a community-created Character Sheet that you like, and it is close but not perfect - you can use that Character Sheet for your Character Sheet, and use the Bio Tab to fill in the extra details that you felt were missing. It will not be a form-fill with Attributes that can be called from macros and chat, like the Character Sheet tab. This would also be similar to a Character Sheet that one could type in an email.
This would be similar to handing out a piece of paper, "write your character on this", and perhaps giving a list of stats and categories that they should type on that Bio Tab. You can even write a text-based character sheet template and place it in the Bio tab of a default or template Character, then duplicate that Character several times and assign permission to your Players so that they already have a text-based character sheet to fill-in-the-blanks on their Bio Tab.
